Senior Building Control Surveyor

Location: Blackpool (Talbot Gateway / Hybrid)
Rate: 23.69 per hour - subject to negotiation
Hours: 37 per week
Status: Minimum Class 2E Registration Required

• BSR Registration: Minimum Class 2E (Assessment & Inspection).
• Professional Membership: Full MCABE, MRICS, or MCIOB status.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in Building Control.
• Logistics: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Day to day role:

• Manage a caseload of domestic and general non-domestic projects taking enforcement action as necessary
• Conduct site inspections, liaise with relevant organisations and consultees.
• Undertake site inspections in relation to dangerous structures and instruct necessary remedial actions where necessary
• Preparation of case files for enforcement or other legal action to maintain compliance with Building Regulations and the Building Act 1984

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Registered with Building Safety Regulator as minimum Class 2E (Assessment & Inspection)
• Full membership in CABE, RICS or MCIOB
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in the building control sector
• Detailed knowledge of building construction and excellent knowledge of Building Regulations.
• Full driving licence and access to a car.
