Pay: 25- 30 per hour

We are looking for a mentor-style tutor to support a 13-year-old student in Nottingham with a deep passion for Aerospace Engineering, Steam Engines, and Physics.
The student is currently working above age-related expectations in Maths and is looking for an educator who can build a genuine rapport through shared interests. This role is about more than just delivering a curriculum; it is about connecting with a bright mind who has a clear vision of entering the Engineering field.
Advanced Learner: Working ahead of their peers in Maths.
Specialist Interests: A high level of engagement with Aerospace and Physics.
Support Needs: The student has ASD, ADHD, and a PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) profile.
The Goal: To build trust and provide academic stretch in Maths, Science (Physics), and English.
10 hours per week to start.
We are open to discussing a schedule that works for you - please let us know your availability when applying.
Subject Enthusiast: You have a strong background in Physics and Maths, ideally with an interest in Engineering or Aerospace.
Neurodiversity Aware: You have experience supporting students with ASD/ADHD and understand the flexibility required for a PDA profile.
Rapport Builder: You know how to lead with interests rather than demands to keep a student engaged.
DBS: An Enhanced DBS is required for this role.
This is a unique chance to work with a high-ability student on subjects you both enjoy. At 25- 30 per hour, it offers a competitive rate for a specialist tutor who can act as a bridge between the student's current studies and their future career in Engineering.
