Family Lawyer - Full-Time - Legal 500 Ranked Firm
A leading Legal 500-ranked law firm is seeking an experienced and empathetic Family Solicitor at Senior Associate to Partner level to join its dynamic legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Family Law Solicitor to manage a diverse caseload involving divorce, financial remedy, child arrangements, domestic abuse and cohabitation matters.
This is a firm that does not hinge progression on PQE - development and progression is based on merit!
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and progress a broad caseload of private family law matters
- Advise clients on divorce, separation, financial settlements, cohabitation disputes, child arrangements and injunctions
- Draft a range of legal documents including court applications, witness statements, consent orders and financial agreements
- Represent clients at court (where appropriate) and work collaboratively with barristers and external counsel
- Conduct negotiations and support alternative dispute resolution processes
- Provide high-quality client care with regular updates and clear communication
- Maintain accurate file notes and ensure compliance with firm policies and SRA regulations
- Take part in internal team meetings, legal knowledge sharing and external business development initiatives
Your Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (England & Wales)
- Minimum 5 years' PQE in family law (preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of UK family law, court procedures and best practices
- Proven ability to manage a full caseload independently
- Excellent drafting, advocacy and negotiation skills
- Compassionate and professional approach to handling sensitive client matters
- Proficient with legal case management systems
- Motivated to contribute to the firm's business development and growth
