We are recruiting for an Assessment & Move On Officer to join a committed team within a North London local authority, supporting individuals experiencing rough sleeping. This role focuses on delivering a high-quality night shelter service that provides accommodation, assessment, and tailored support.
You will be responsible for carrying out thorough assessments of residents' needs, drawing on your knowledge of relevant housing legislation and support frameworks. Using your initiative, you will develop effective support plans, identify suitable move-on opportunities, and work proactively to secure positive outcomes within agreed timescales.
Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you will ensure individuals are supported to transition into appropriate longer-term accommodation. Strong communication, organisational skills, and the ability to manage a varied caseload are essential.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with vulnerable individuals, a solid understanding of homelessness and housing pathways, and the confidence to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference, helping people move towards greater stability and independence.
