About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an Administrative Officer to join the West London Family Court. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting the justice system while gaining valuable experience within HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS).

Administrative Officers are essential to the smooth running of courts and tribunals, ensuring cases progress efficiently while delivering a high standard of customer service. You will work within a supportive team environment, using established systems and processes, with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.



Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing files, documents, and bundles for court hearings, tribunals, and meetings
  • Producing standard court documentation and correspondence
  • Managing data entry, record updates, filing, and general administrative duties
  • Handling post, organising meeting rooms, and supporting training sessions
  • Clerking court and tribunal hearings, ensuring all materials are accurate and available
  • Assisting court users, legal professionals, and judiciary members
  • Managing enquiries via face-to-face, telephone, and written communication
  • Processing casework including court orders, claims, fines, and legal aid
  • Checking and verifying documents to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Supporting scheduling, rota management, and court listings
  • Contributing to team meetings and continuous improvement activities


Additional Information

This role requires flexibility, as you may occasionally be asked to support other local HMCTS offices. You will also be expected to undertake any reasonable duties in line with the role.
