General DescriptionThe School of Informatics at the University of Edinburgh invites applications for its PhD programme in Computer Architecture and Compilers, a research-intensive doctoral opportunity within one of the world's leading centres for computer science research. The programme offers candidates the opportunity to engage in cutting edge research at the intersection of hardware and software systems, focusing on improving performance, efficiency, and programmability of modern computing systems.
Research areas within this programme include, but are not limited to, computer architecture, compilers, programming languages, parallel computing, heterogeneous systems, machine learning systems, and hardware software co design.
