Multi Skilled Production Engineer (Nights)

Location: Evesham
Salary: £42,600 - £51,380
Hours: 4 on / 4 off 6:00pm - 6:00am Full-time, Permanent

The Company

Our client is a well-established manufacturing business operating within a fast-paced production environment. Due to continued investment in their engineering team, they are seeking a Multiskilled Production Engineer to support the maintenance and performance of production equipment across the site.

The Role

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this position will play a key role in delivering a successful engineering maintenance shift by supporting equipment reliability, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, and responding effectively to breakdowns.

The role requires a strong electrical bias alongside solid mechanical fault-finding capability, ensuring production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in line with operational targets.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance

  • Diagnose and repair faults across production machinery in a safe and methodical manner

  • Carry out preventative maintenance activities to a high standard

  • Support breakdown response to minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability

  • Conduct electrical machinery audits and ensure safe operation of plant equipment

  • Perform root cause analysis and record findings to support long-term improvements

  • Identify and implement improvements to equipment performance

Operational Support

  • Work closely with operations teams to resolve equipment issues quickly

  • Contribute to effective shift handovers, ensuring key issues are communicated clearly

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all engineering work is completed in line with health and safety legislation and company procedures

  • Follow lock-off / tag-off procedures and ensure safe working practices are maintained

  • Participate in risk assessments and support a safe working environment
