Behaviour & Inclusion Support Officer - Secondary School (Liverpool)

Milk Education Liverpool is working with a welcoming secondary school in the Liverpool area to recruit a compassionate, proactive, and skilled Behaviour & Inclusion Support Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to support young people who face barriers to learning and help shape a provision rooted in trauma informed and relational practice.

About the Role

You will work directly with students who struggle to access mainstream education due to social, emotional, or behavioural needs. Your work will centre around delivering targeted 1:1 support, small group interventions, and structured behaviour programmes that prioritise emotional wellbeing, consistency, and trust.

What We're Looking For

We would love to hear from you if you are:

  • An experienced practitioner with a background in supporting students with SEMH and behavioural needs
  • A confident communicator who can form strong, positive relationships with students, families, and external professionals
  • Someone passionate about trauma informed approaches and able to deliver structured therapeutic support
  • Empathetic, resilient, and driven to help students overcome barriers and re engage positively with their learning
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions for students with SEMH or behaviour needs
  • Support the development of personalised learning and behaviour plans
  • Promote emotional regulation, resilience, and positive decision making
  • Work collaboratively with pastoral teams, parents/carers, and outside agenciesContribute to a nurturing, inclusive Behaviour & Inclusion Centre within the school
