Planner Location: London

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading multidisciplinary planning and design consultancy in their search for a Planner to join their London-based team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Town Planner to join a highly regarded practice working on a diverse portfolio of projects across the residential, commercial, mixed-use and regeneration sectors. You will gain exposure to all stages of the planning process within a collaborative and design-led environment.

The Role

As a Planner, you will support senior colleagues on a range of planning projects while also taking responsibility for managing your own applications and client relationships.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and submitting a variety of planning applications
  • Undertaking site appraisals and planning policy reviews
  • Drafting planning statements and supporting documentation
  • Liaising with Local Planning Authorities and stakeholders
  • Supporting project coordination across multi-disciplinary teams
  • Assisting with planning appeals where required
  • Attending client meetings and consultation events
Candidate Requirements
  • Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline
  • Working towards MRTPI Chartership (or recently achieved)
  • Experience within a planning consultancy or local authority environment
  • Strong understanding of UK planning policy and proceduresi>
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage workload and meet project deadlines
