This role sits within a highly regarded pensions offering, advising on complex and strategic matters across the full pensions landscape and is well suited to a Senior Lawyer looking to shape and develop a practice within a national platform.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys a high level of autonomy, values collaboration and wants to play a visible role in driving the continued expansion of a well-respected pensions team.

What's on offer?

  • Partner or Legal Director appointment within a national practice
  • Glasgow office base with flexible and hybrid working
  • Access to a broad UK-wide client base
  • Opportunity to influence strategy and direction of the pensions practice
  • Supportive, inclusive and collaborative culture
  • Emphasis on progression, innovation and people development

The role

In this role, you will advise employers, trustees and individuals on a broad range of pensions matters, including defined benefit and defined contribution schemes, governance and regulatory compliance, scheme documentation, corporate transactions, restructurings, PPF-related work and public-sector arrangements.

You will work closely with colleagues across employment and corporate teams to deliver joined-up, strategic advice on complex issues. The role also involves developing and maintaining client and referrer relationships, contributing to business development and supporting growth at both a regional and national level.

This opportunity would suit a Pensions Partner or Legal Director who:

  • Has an established and transferable client following
  • Brings a recognised pensions law profile and market credibility
  • Has a proven track record of winning work and sustaining long-term relationships
  • Enjoys developing a practice within a national firm
  • Is motivated by strategy, leadership and team development
  • Takes a commercial and pragmatic approach to pensions advice

The environment

You'll be joining a firm that prioritises collaboration, flexibility and inclusive working practices. Lawyers are encouraged to contribute ideas, develop their profiles and work seamlessly across teams and locations, with genuine support for long-term career progression.
