Robert Walters - Financial Accountant - Permanent - Hybrid - Birmingham - £60,000 - £65,000 per annum

Our client, a leading organisation within their sector, is seeking a Financial Accountant to support the delivery of high-quality financial reporting, maintain the integrity of the general ledger, and contribute to a high-performing finance function. Location: Birmingham (Hybrid) Position: Financial Accountant Full-Time Salary: £60,000 to £65,000 per annum

Key responsibilities of the Financial Accountant:

  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial information through balance sheet reconciliation and core accounting activity.
  • Deliver financial reporting to Group on a timely and accurate basis.
  • Support the preparation of statutory accounts and assist with audit processes.
  • Lead on month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring robust financial controls.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to provide financial insight and strengthen financial governance.
  • Contribute to tax, VAT, and regulatory reporting requirements where needed.

Key essentials of the Financial Accountant:

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial reporting standards.
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with complex data sets.
