Legal Administrator - Christchurch - Full-Time - £23,750

A well-established and highly regarded law firm is seeking a Legal Administrator to join its busy team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills who is looking to build a long-term career within the legal sector.

This position offers genuine scope for development, hands-on experience working closely with experienced lawyers, and exposure to a wide range of client matters from the outset.

You will provide essential administrative and clerical support to fee earners within the required department. Responsibilities will include:

  • Opening and closing client files in line with compliance procedures
  • Supporting lawyers with audio typing and preparation of straightforward legal documentation
  • Handling client correspondence and responding to routine enquiries
  • Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems
  • Assisting with billing processes and time recording
  • Ensuring compliance with internal policies, including AML and conflict checks
  • Managing telephone communications professionally and efficiently

This is a varied position requiring strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Previous administrative or office-based experience
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good IT proficiency and ability to learn new systems quickly
  • A proactive and reliable approach to work
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Previous experience within a legal environment is advantageous but not essential.
