Job Description

Morgan McKinley is looking for an experienced Accountant to work for a growing property company based in Guildford, Surrey area. The Accountant role will be working on a part time basis 3 days a week. This is a great varied accounting and everyday finance type role which will support with building a robust financial processes from the ground up!

Hours: Part time - 3 days a week

Salary: 45-48K (Full time equivalent then a pro rata salary for the 3 days)

Accountant duties:

  • Oversee financial operations, including bookkeeping, management accounting, and reporting
  • Prepare quarterly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, balance sheet and variance analysis
  • Bank reconciliations and control account reconciliations
  • Cash flow monitoring and forecasting
  • Rent & Service Charge Accounting
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Raising and processing of invoices and payments
  • Assisting with year-end accounts and audit processes

Skills and experience:

  • Experience of working within an SME / start up type business as an Accountant
  • Good IT skills such as Excel and experience of Xero
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
