In this position you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of company employees, clients, and visitors. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety programs, policies, and procedures that align with industry standards and regulations.

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with UK regulations
• Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify and address potential hazards and risks in the workplace
• Provide safety training and educational programs to employees at all levels, ensuring a strong safety culture across the organisation
• Investigate and document workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and develop action plans to prevent recurrence
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote safety awareness and facilitate a proactive approach to safety
• Stay up to date with changes in safety regulations and industry best practices and ensure company-wide compliance
• Manage safety-related documentation and reporting, including maintaining records, incident reports, and safety statistics

• An experienced & qualified Health & Safety Manager from a production / manufacturing background (ideally food)
• Proven experience in developing and implementing safety programs and policies
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Proficient in using safety management software and tools
• A confident professional leader with excellent communication & organisational skills and high attention to detail
