Description
As Warehouse Team Manager you will be responsible for leading a team to deliver operational excellence across inbound, picking, and dispatch activities. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring service levels, productivity targets, and compliance standards are consistently achieved.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, coaching, and developing a team of warehouse operatives
- Driving performance against KPIs including productivity, accuracy, and service levels
- Ensuring full compliance with health & safety and food handling standards
- Managing labour planning, absence, and performance issues
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the operation
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and operational discipline
Profile
The successful Warehouse Team Manager candidate will have a strong background in warehouse operations, ideally within FMCG or food distribution. You will bring:
- Proven experience in a supervisory or team manager role within a warehouse environment
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume operation
- Good understanding of warehouse systems and processes
- A proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving ability
