We are seeking motivated individuals to join our paraplanning and technical support team. The level at which you join will depend on your experience, qualifications and career aspirations.

Trainee Paraplanner / Technical Assistant - Office Based (Exeter)

Perfect for someone entering the profession or early in their paraplanning journey. You'll receive full support, training and exposure across the advice process. Office-based working is required to maximise hands-on learning and development.

Qualified Paraplanner - Remote or Hybrid Working

Ideal for an experienced paraplanner who can confidently support advisers with technical research, suitability reports and client documentation. Flexibility is available, including fully remote or hybrid arrangements.

Key Responsibilities (Level Dependent)

Trainee Paraplanner / Technical Assistant

  • Draft Annual Review reports following triage by senior paraplanners.
  • Support the technical and paraplanning team across administrative and technical tasks.
  • Collaborate with advisers, senior paraplanners, client services and the investment team.
  • Maintain accurate client and provider communication via phone, email, letter and face-to-face.
  • Ensure the CRM system (Intelligent Office) remains compliant and up to date.
  • Contribute to an efficient, organised and client-focused office environment.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development and industry qualifications.

Qualified Paraplanner

  • Produce high-quality suitability reports and supporting research across pensions, investments and tax-efficient planning.
  • Conduct complex technical analysis and support advisers in client meetings where required.
  • Liaise with clients and providers professionally and proactively.
  • Maintain high compliance standards and ensure accuracy across all documentation.
  • Take responsibility for managing workload independently while contributing to team success.
  • Assist in developing processes and supporting continuous improvement across the paraplanning function.

Skills, Attributes & Qualifications

Trainee Level

  • Keen to learn and build a long-term career in paraplanning.
  • Willingness to study for and achieve relevant industry qualifications.

Qualified Level

  • Demonstrable paraplanning experience within a regulated environment.
  • Industry qualifications preferred (e.g., progressing toward or achieved Diploma level).
