Occupational Health Advisor - HS2 Project

Full-Time 2-Year Fixed Term (Potential to Extend)Sites from Southam to Wendover07:30-16:00 ( hour lunch)Mileage Paid On-Site Role

Are you an experienced Occupational Health Advisor looking for a unique opportunity to support one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects? We are seeking a proactive and clinically confident OHA to join our team delivering high-quality occupational health services across multiple HS2 project sites.

This is a varied, hands-on role where no two weeks look the same - perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic, site-based environment.

About the Role

As the Occupational Health Advisor, you will provide comprehensive OH support across HS2 locations including:

  • Silverstone (C23)
  • Chipping Warden
  • A421 (Brackley)
  • Calvert
  • Aylesbury
  • Wendover

Your weekly schedule is client-led, with clinic locations confirmed in advance.Please note: this is a fully onsite role - no home working or virtual clinics.

Key Responsibilities

You'll deliver a blend of occupational health services, including:

  • Case Management - providing high-quality clinical advice on work-related health issues
  • Health Surveillance - including audiometry, spirometry, general medicals
  • Drug & Alcohol Testing - dependent on client demand
  • Report Writing - producing clear, accurate OH reports
  • On-Site Triage - minimal emergency/triage response required

Expected caseload: 6-7 appointments per day (may vary)You will work as part of a wider OH team and report into the OH Lead for the HS2 project.

Essential Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (NMC) - No restrictions
  • Degree or Diploma in Occupational HealthOR minimum 2 years' Occupational Health experience
  • Strong competence in case management, fitness-for-work decisions and clinical reporting
  • Experience conducting health surveillance, screenings and medicals
  • Good working knowledge of UK OH legislation, guidance and employment law
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and OH software systems
