Your new companyA well-established Top 100 accountancy firm is seeking an experienced Interim Auditor to support its audit team during a period of increased demand. The firm is recognised for delivering high-quality audit and advisory services and has a growing portfolio of clients from an array of sectors and industries.Your new roleThe interim auditor will take responsibility for delivering specialist audit work for construction clients. The role requires a strong understanding of long-term contract accounting, project-based reporting, WIP assessment, and sector-specific regulatory considerations. The successful candidate will provide immediate support and ensure high-quality delivery across multiple engagements.What you'll need to succeed
- Leading and delivering audit assignments
- Reviewing financial statements with emphasis on long-term contracts, revenue recognition (including IFRS 15), WIP, and project costing.
- Identifying audit risks and ensuring appropriate testing and documentation.
- Supporting junior team members and contributing to technical discussions.
- Liaising directly with client finance teams and senior stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with UK & international auditing standards and internal methodologies.
- Producing high-quality workpapers and deliverables within agreed timelines.
