AJ Chambers are working with a Top West End Law Firm who have a brand new opportunity for a Legal PA to join the Banking & Finance team which provides high-level administrative and organisational support to partners, associates, and the wider Banking & Finance legal team.
The role involves managing complex documentation, coordinating transactions, and ensuring efficient workflow in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
Partner and Fee Earner Support
- Provide full PA support to partners and fee earners within the Banking & Finance practice.
- Manage complex diaries and scheduling of meetings, calls, and deadlines.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and itineraries.
- Screen calls and manage correspondence.
Document Production & Management
- Draft, amend and format legal documentation including:
- Loan agreements
- Facility agreements
- Security documents
- Transaction bibles
- Manage document versions and ensure correct formatting and house style.
- Handle large transaction bundles and closing sets.
File and Matter Management
- Open new client matters and maintain accurate records.
- Manage document filing systems and electronic databases.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Billing & Financial Administration
- Prepare draft bills and assist with billing processes.
- Monitor WIP (Work in Progress).
- Process expenses and track client disbursements.
- Use of 3E
Client Liaison
- Act as a key point of contact for clients.
- Maintain professional communication with financial institutions and corporate clients.
- Coordinate client meetings and hospitality.
Key Skills and Experience
- Previous experience as a Legal PA / Legal Secretary, ideally within Banking & Finance or Corporate law.
- Strong document formatting skills.
- Excellent diary management and organisational ability.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience handling complex legal documentation.
Desirable
- Experience in a top-tier law firm or international firm.
- Knowledge of banking and finance legal terminology.
- Familiarity with document management systems such as:
- iManage
- 3E
