Finance Director
Halifax £80,000 to £100,000 + 20% bonus Permanent
Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting for a Finance Director on behalf of a growing, high-performing professional services business based in Yorkshire. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for financial strategy, operational finance, internal controls and driving commercial performance across a diverse portfolio.
The organisation is scaling quickly and requires an experienced, strategic Finance Director who can operate as a true business partner to the Group CFO, UK CEO and the wider SLT.
The Role
As Finance Director, you will lead the full financial agenda for the UK business, including:
- Developing and executing the financial strategy
- Leading budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning
- Overseeing internal controls and financial governance
- Driving financial performance analysis and insight for the Board
- Leading both Finance and Procurement teams
- Supporting commercial pricing strategy
- Cash management, including client monies held in escrow
- Ensuring robust compliance, accounting policies and risk management
- Working cross-functionally with commercial, sales and operations to support growth
- Leading, developing and mentoring a high-performing finance team
This is a broad, hands-on and strategically important leadership role within a business undergoing positive change and investment.
The Ideal Candidate:
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
- Experienced at senior finance leadership level within a commercially focused environment
- Strong across budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and reporting
- Commercially minded, with experience supporting pricing and supplier negotiations
- A proven leader who has developed and grown high-performing finance teams
- A confident communicator, able to influence at Board level
- Highly proficient in financial systems and advanced Excel
- Lives within a commutable distance of Halifax
