Key Responsibilities:
As a CST Researcher, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive research on police intelligence and information systems.
  • Review and process safeguarding disclosures, ensuring lawful and relevant information is shared.
  • Assess and respond to safeguarding risks through effective collaboration with partner agencies.
  • Compose detailed reports for Child and Adult Safeguarding meetings.
  • Maintain an accurate record management system for audit purposes.
  • Identify and escalate safeguarding risks, including child sexual exploitation.
  • Assist with Op Encompass processes and relevant law disclosures.

What We're Looking For:
To excel in this role, you should have:

  • A-level education or equivalent experience in a safeguarding role.
  • Understanding of Force intelligence processes and the National Intelligence Model (NIM).
  • Strong ability to build rapport with partner agencies.
  • Experience working to tight deadlines and managing priorities effectively.
  • A foundational understanding of child and adult protection issues.
  • Critical analytical skills to evaluate data and information
  • Due to Police Vetting Criteria you must have resided within the UK continuously for at least 5 years at the time of application.

  • Exposure to sensitive material may occur in this role, particularly when researching cases involving vulnerable individuals.
  • You will complete mandatory Health & Safety training and a Police Staff Induction upon joining.
