Relationship Manager

Ipswich - fully office based - Monday to Friday

Salary: From £27,000

Role OverviewWe're looking for a motivated and detail-focused Relationship Manager to join our client's team in Ipswich. You'll support the assessment of commercial loan applications, helping ensure strong, fair, and well-informed lending decisions. This role is ideal for someone with strong numeracy skills- ideally from a background within banking.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and assess business funding applications.
  • Analyse financial accounts, bank statements, credit reports, and supporting documents.
  • Complete full underwriting assessments and produce clear summaries and lending recommendations.
  • Present cases to senior decision-makers where required.
  • Issue funding offers and loan agreements with accuracy.
  • Work to strict deadlines and maintain compliance standards.
  • Liaise with applicants and internal teams to gather information and progress applications.
  • Guide clients through the application and drawdown process, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Maintain relationships with clients to support future opportunities.
  • Support the wider team with additional tasks where needed.
