Job Description
Our client, a leading global manufacturer of precision-engineered metal components, is looking for an experienced CNC Operator to join their established machining team in Lincoln.
The RoleYou'll operate CNC machinery to produce high-quality components used across automotive, marine, power generation and other heavy-engineering sectors. This is a hands-on role in a busy production environment where accuracy and safety are key.
What You'll Be Doing- Operating CNC machines to manufacture precision components
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Performing tool changes, offsets and basic programme edits
- Using measuring tools such as micrometers and gauges
- Completing production records accurately
- Working safely to manufacturing and quality standards
- Experience operating CNC machinery in an engineering/manufacturing setting
- Confident reading technical drawings
- Able to use precision measurement equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Experience with heavy/forged metal components (advantageous)
- Team player with good attention to detail
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or CNC Machining (preferred)
- Engineering apprenticeship beneficial but not essential
You must be comfortable working a rotating shift pattern, including mornings, nights and mixed shifts between these.
