Senior Category Manager - Digital & Technology

Morgan Law is currently supporting a London based university recruit for a Senior Category Manager to lead our Digital & Technology procurement strategy.

Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you will be the strategic lead for the Digital & Technology category. Responsible for developing long-term category plans that align with the wider organisational goals.

Key responsibilities include:

• Strategic Sourcing: Lead the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, from drafting specifications to contract award, utilizing frameworks (LUPC, CCS) or bespoke solutions.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders in the Digital & Technology teams, providing expert guidance on market routes and legislative compliance (including the Procurement Act 2023).
• Relationship Management: Champion robust Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), ensuring our partners deliver value, innovation, and ethical alignment.
• Sustainable Impact: Work alongside our Responsible Procurement Lead to embed climate justice and social purpose into every tech contract.
• Business Intelligence: Use data and Power BI to create KPI dashboards, identify supply risks, and deliver meaningful savings.

Person Specification:

• MCIPS / NVQ Level 6 (or working towards) or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in Digital & Technology category management, ideally within Higher Education or a complex commercial setting.
• Knowledge of UK public contract regulations and procurement law.
