7.5T Mechanical Sweeper PM

We are looking for a 7.5T driver to work on the afternoon shift with the street cleansing team driving the Schmidt vehicle (Mechanical Sweeper).

• You are required to hold a 7.5T driving licence, Digi Tacho card and a CPC licence.
• PM shift 2pm-10pm
• Temporary - on going position
• Starting as soon as possible

17.33 per hour PAYE paid weekly.

1. Drive mechanical sweepers in accordance with requirements of the Highway Code.
2. Vehicle Checks - reporting any issues to management
3. Follow route set out for you making sure roads are clear
4. Manually remove obstructions from the path of the sweeping equipment which could damage the mechanism of the machine.
5. Co-ordinate sweeping works will require co-ordination with other cleansing staff.
6. Litter pick as necessary with designated team.
7. On completion of daily duties return vehicle to Depot, de-water and cleanse.
8. Report daily work progress and any problems encountered to the Street Cleansing Manager.
9. As required undertake other duties either in the Street Cleansing Section or Refuse Section to provide cover for other operatives.
