Finance Officer- Belfast- URGENT
Reed Recruitment is working with a well-known and respected Charity based in Belfast. Our client has an urgent requirement for an experienced Finance Officer/ Bookkeeper to join their team to cover a period of sickness.
This position is offering 35 hours per week, £15 per hour and will be for a minimum of 4 weeks with possible extension.
The successful applicant will be offered an immediate start, weekly payment and will be responsible for completing the following duties:
Duties
- Responsible for compiling, verifying and submitting claims to funders
- Download, consolidate and maintain payment data across all sources in a master spreadsheet, ensuring accurate posting to the accounting system
- Maintenance of the fixed asset register
- Managing and reviewing aged debtor and credit reports, ensuring timely follow ups and maintaining accurate records
- Ledger account reconciliations
- Journal prep and posting
- Assisting with audits and year-end accounts preparation
- Supporting the finance team with general finance tasks and admin
- Other ad hoc duties as required
Criteria:
- Previous experience in an accounts assistant or similar role
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- IT Proficient
Hours of work
- Monday- Thursday 8am-4pm OR 9am-5pm
- Friday 8am-1pm OR 9am-2pm
