HR Advisor - Term Time Only (37 hours per week + 2 weeks)
Folkestone Hybrid Working (1 day from home)

  • Supportive and collaborative HR team
  • Strong focus on staff wellbeing and professional development
  • Free onsite parking with EV charging facilities
  • Funded healthcare benefits

We are currently partnering with a forward-thinking and highly supportive education trust to recruit an experienced HR Advisor to join their established HR team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a credible, proactive HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, people-focused environment - with the added benefit of term-time working (plus two additional weeks), meaning you'll benefit from most school holidays off.

This is a true generalist HR role with variety, autonomy and impact. You will work closely with senior leaders and line managers across multiple school sites, providing expert advice and practical support on a broad range of employee relations and organisational matters.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing professional HR advice across the full employee lifecycle
  • Supporting and guiding managers through change processes
  • Leading and advising on disciplinary, grievance and consultation meetings
  • Coaching managers through investigations, producing investigation plans and reports
  • Leading on absence management and complex return-to-work cases
  • Supporting employee engagement and retention initiatives
  • Ensuring compliance with current employment legislation and best practice
  • Promoting effective use of the organisation's HR system to support data-led decision making

You will spend the majority of your time onsite within schools, building strong working relationships, with flexibility to work from home one day per week.

Our client is seeking an individual who can build credibility quickly and develop strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

You will have:

  • CIPD Level 5 (Associate) or equivalent
  • Solid experience in a generalist HR advisory role
  • Strong employment law knowledge and practical ER experience
  • Confidence managing complex casework independently
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • Experience within the education sector (desirable but not essential)

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious HR professional seeking a role with purpose, flexibility and genuine work-life balance.
