We are seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join an international, private practice law firm, based out of their London head office. This role requires expertise in accounting and finance to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with relevant standards.

Description
- Preparation and oversight of accounts for the UK & EU LLP and subsidiaries, working across both cash and accrual accounting, and liaising with professional advisors as needed.
- Responsible for preparing tax computations for the two LLPs and relevant subsidiaries.
- Manage the preparation and submission of group VAT returns.
- Develop strong relationships with professional advisors and actively participate in networking sessions and roundtable discussions.
- Monitor and assess regulatory, financial, legal, and tax changes that could impact the Firm, ensuring timely investigation and response.
- Ensure adherence to finance policies and best practice principles across the Accounts function.
- Continuously review systems and processes to enhance efficiency and manage risk, identifying and implementing improvements, including the adoption of AI-driven solutions where appropriate.
Profile
A successful Financial Accountant should have:
- ACCA or ACA qualified, with 4+ years post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Strong financial accounting standards and legislation, including IFRS, LLP SORP, UK GAAP, (SRA client account rule would be advantageous)
- Must have background in professional services (ie. LLP, Private Law Practice)
- Advanced Excel skills, with strong analytical and reconciliation capabilities.
- Highly organised team player with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering work to the highest standard.
- Adaptable and flexible, able to manage changing priorities and deadlines, and eager to take ownership and responsibility.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven project management ability, with experience handling multiple deadlines effectively.
