Customer Operator - Night Shifts
Red Recruitment is recruiting a Customer Operator to join our client who provides CCTV and Alarm Services to other businesses. This role is ideal for someone from a customer service background who enjoys supporting customers, handling calls, and ensuring issues are resolved efficiently. Alongside customer interaction, the successful candidate will review CCTV footage and complete associated administrative tasks.
This role will be working within a close-knit team and is night shifts only.
To be a successful candidate for this role, please note the client will conduct credit checks and background referencing (for the past 5 years).

Salary: £26,667 per annum
Hours: 4 on 4 off, night shifts (7pm 7am)

Key Responsibilities of a Customer Operator:
Acting as a key point of contact and providing professional, reassuring customer support when responding to incidents
Making outbound telephone calls to relevant parties such as clients, internal teams, and external services (including the police when required)
Handling high volumes of inbound and outbound calls, some of which may involve sensitive or challenging situations
Reviewing CCTV footage and ensuring any concerns are escalated appropriately
Managing incidents from start to finish, including suspensions and closures, while keeping customers informed
Ensuring all data is processed accurately and in line with industry standards
Completing administrative tasks and maintaining detailed records
Managing email correspondence in a timely, clear, and professional manner
Key Skills and Experience of a Customer Operator:
Previous customer service experience is essential
A calm, professional telephone manner with the ability to build rapport quickly
Confidence handling a range of calls, including difficult or time-sensitive situations
Comfortable using multiple systems and inputting data accurately
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage internal and external relationships effectively
Self-motivated, reliable, and dedicated
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and remain composed under pressure
You must have a full UK driving licence
