Location: Lisburn

Salary: £13.50 per hour (approx. £26,000 per year)

Hours: 37 hours per week (Mon-Wed 8am-3.30pm, Thu 8am-3pm, Fri 8am-3.30pm)

About the Role

As Cook, you will:

• Prepare and cook high-quality meals and baked goods, maintaining excellent food safety and hygiene standards.
• Assist with menu planning and contribute creative ideas for specials and events.
• Support and mentor team members with learning disabilities, helping them build confidence, skills, and independence in a catering environment.
• Work collaboratively with the café team to ensure an outstanding customer experience.

Person Specification

Essential:

• NVQ Level 2 in Catering & Hospitality (or equivalent)
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
• Knowledge of Health & Safety, COSHH, HACCP
• Strong IT skills
• Understanding of barriers faced by people with learning disabilities
• Positive, team-focused attitude and ability to work independently

Desirable:

• Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to achieve)
• Experience working with adults with learning disabilities
