Job Description

We re recruiting on behalf of a well-known, quality-led gastro pub for a Junior Sous Chef to join a growing, food-focused kitchen brigade. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Senior CDP or Junior Sous looking to step up in a supportive, well-structured environment.

Responsibilities as Junior Sous Chef

  • Support the Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations
  • Be hands-on during service, leading sections and supporting the brigade
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation
  • Assist with stock control, ordering, and GP awareness
  • Ensure food safety, hygiene, and allergen standards are followed
  • Help train and develop junior chefs
  • Contribute ideas to seasonal menus and specials

What We re Looking For

  • Experience as a Senior CDP or Junior Sous Chef
  • Strong fresh-food background
  • Confident, calm, and organised during service
  • A team player who leads by example
  • Ambition to develop and progress within a quality kitchen
