Join Our Team as an Environmental Enforcement Officer!

Are you passionate about protecting the environment? Do you have a knack for enforcing legislation and tackling environmental crimes? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! We're looking for 2 enthusiastic Environmental Enforcement Officers to join our friendly team in East Ham on a temporary contract for 6 months.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Investigating environmental crimes, including fly-tipping.
  • Conducting checks on surveillance cameras and gathering evidence.
  • Attending court to present cases and complete statements.
  • Issuing penalties and ensuring compliance with environmental acts.
  • Collaborating with a supportive team to cover each other and handle cases efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply your knowledge of environmental legislation to real-world scenarios.
  • Work full-time in an office setting with a vibrant atmosphere.
  • Engage in team discussions and share a bit of banter to keep the spirits high!

What We're Looking For:

  • A solid understanding of PACE and environmental legislation.
  • Strong investigative skills and attention to detail.
  • A valid driving licence is a must, as you'll be on the move!
  • Team players who thrive in a friendly work environment.

  • Working a fair share of shifts Monday to Friday between the hours of 6am-6pm (6am-2pm/ 9am-5pm/ 10am-6pm) Shifts are agreed between workers and not on a rota basis.
