Job Title: Litigation Solicitor

Working Pattern: 3 days office-based

The Role
We are working with a well-established and highly regarded law firm based in Bolton who are looking to recruit a Litigation Solicitor to join their growing disputes team.
This is a broad, general litigation role, offering exposure to a varied and interesting caseload across general civil litigation, commercial litigation, clinical negligence, and personal injury. The firm is open to speaking with solicitors at different levels of PQE, provided they have solid litigation experience and a proactive approach.
The role offers genuine variety and the opportunity to work closely with experienced partners, making it ideal for someone who enjoys diverse contentious work rather than specialising too narrowly.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a varied litigation caseload from inception to conclusion
- Advising clients on general civil and commercial disputes
- Assisting with and progressing clinical negligence and personal injury matters
- Drafting pleadings, witness statements and court documents
- Attending hearings and conducting advocacy where appropriate
- Liaising directly with clients, counsel and third parties
- Working collaboratively within the litigation team
Candidate Profile
- The ideal candidate will:
- Be a qualified solicitor with experience in litigation and dispute resolution
- Have exposure to a broad range of contentious matters
- Be confident managing files with an appropriate level of supervision
- Possess strong drafting, communication and organisational skills
- Be a team player with a flexible and professional approach
