Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Support Officer to join a not-for-profit organisation in Sandwell. This temporary role involves providing high-quality administrative support within a professional environment.

Description

  • Provide administrative support to ensure smooth operations within the department.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and consistency of information.
  • Update and maintain the ChildView system.
  • Support Youth Justice Service workers to update systems in line with KPI recording requirements.
  • Maintain files and record systems, including scanning and uploading documents.
  • Ensuring all allocated tasks are completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings and managing calendars.
  • Respond to enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Prepare reports and presentations as directed by the team.
  • Support team members with ad-hoc administrative tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures.

Profile

A successful Business Support Officer should have:

  • Experience in a secretarial or business support role, preferably within the not-for-profit sector.
  • Experience of Childview / YJS systems would be advantageous.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and good attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Offer

  • Hourly pay ranging from 13.26 to 13.90 per hour depending on experience.
