Our client is looking for a Private Client Paralegal in Inverness

Client Details

A leading law firm

Description

  • Drafting wills, powers of attorney, and basic trust documentation

  • Assisting in the administration of estates, including preparing inventory, confirmation (Scottish probate), and inheritance tax forms

  • Liaising with clients, beneficiaries, executors, and other professionals

  • Preparing and submitting applications for guardianship and intervention orders

  • Conducting legal research and staying up to date with relevant Scottish legislation and case law

  • Assisting with inheritance tax planning and asset protection strategies

  • Maintaining accurate case files and ensuring compliance with Law Society of Scotland and internal protocols

  • Supporting solicitors in client meetings and taking notes as required

  • Handling client communications in a professional, empathetic, and timely manner

  • Ensuring confidentiality and data protection compliance at all times

Profile

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a private client role within a Scottish legal setting

  • Sound understanding of Scottish succession law and executry procedures

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple files efficiently

  • High level of discretion and empathy when dealing with clients in sensitive situations

  • Proficient in case management systems and Microsoft Office
