Reed Property & Construction are currently working with a building testing company in Melton Mowbray.

They are looking to recruit a Head of Building Testing to lead their small testing team. This role involves conducting air testing, extract testing, and smoke testing, as well as supporting our current testing department. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding our capabilities in sound testing and thermography. This position is ideal for someone with experience in both domestic and commercial air testing.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Lead the testing team in conducting air, extract, and smoke testing across various sites.
• Provide support and guidance to the current testing department.
• Drive the development of new testing services, particularly in sound testing and thermography.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building regulations and standards.
• Manage and maintain testing equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
• Engage with clients to provide exceptional service and address any concerns.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience with required accreditation in air and extract testing.
• Proven leadership skills and experience in managing a team.
• Strong communication, analytical, and organisational skills.
• Experience in customer-facing roles.
• IT literacy is essential.
• A clean, full driving licence.
• A friendly, flexible, and ambitious approach to work.
