My Local Government client is looking to recruit a permanent Deputy Chief Accountant to work alongside the existing Deputy Chief Accountant and deliver the Council's annual Statement of Accounts, ensure effective accounting controls are in place and liaise with the Council's external auditors. As part of this role you will be expected to support the Chief Accountant in any aspect of corporate finance and provide resilience across the team, whilst specifically supporting and guiding in the areas of Technical Accounting, Fixed Assets and Taxation.

To be considered you will need to be a fully qualified CCAB or CIMA accountant with strong Excel and analytical skills. You will also need experience in the closure of accounts, audit and have sound technical accounting skills.
The role is being offered on a permanent basis with hybrid working arrangement. There will be a need to be in the office circa 1 day a week or as the role demands. The salary range for the role is 53,817 to 68,265.
