Our client in Bridgend, a well established and growing leader in their sector, are recruiting for an experienced IT Technician to join them on a permanent basis at their offices in Bridgend.
In this diverse role, you will support the development and deployment of IT provisions within the company, including end-users support, hardware, network, software and cyber security; and also support the delivery of IT projects.
What you'll be doing:
- Support all internal users with any IT related queries / issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Liaise with 3rd party support companies to assist in solutions when required.
- Maintain the internal helpdesk and report helpdesk KPIs.
- Contribute to supporting / creating user documentation.
- Carry out monthly IT maintenance and audits.
- Monitor and maintain patch management.
- Monitor and maintain anti-virus standards.
- Assist in obtaining and maintaining cyber security certifications.
- Assist and contribute towards key IT projects.
What we're looking for:
- Qualified to HND or preferably degree level in IT / Computer Science.
- Competent user of Microsoft 365 (Office, Teams, SharePoint).
- Windows 11 experience.
- IT Helpdesk experience.
- Understanding of firewalls, networks, switches and patch-panels.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Accuracy and a high level of attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively both within a team and independently.
Salary, Benefits & Hours:
- Salary will be between 26,000 - 29,000 depending on experience.
- 37 hours per week; Monday to Thursday 08:30 - 17:00 and Friday 08:30 - 13:30.
- 25 days holiday a year plus bank.
