Description

As the Planning Manager, you will,

  • Develop and implement effective planning strategies (production / demand / supply) to meet operational goals. This will include a complete review of the supply chain, understand both manufacturing and supplier capacity constraints, to build a plan that can deliver to customer promise
  • Regularly review the operational plan with production / operations to understand bottlenecks, and support a drive to efficiency
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to align planning objectives with supplier capabilities.
  • Analyse data to forecast demand and manage inventory levels effectively, working with sales and the customer to balance priorities, and improve the customer experience
  • Identify and address potential risks in the supply chain, proposing mitigation strategies
  • Lead a team of planners, providing guidance and support to build engagement and performance
  • Contribute to the SLT to support operational and strategic goals

Profile

A successful Planning Manager should have:

  • Experience within the manufacturing sector, with the capability of developing planning processes
  • Strong analytical skills and a results-driven approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in planning software and tools relevant to the industry.
  • A solid understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management principles, ideally having implemented SIOP processes previously
  • A proven ability to lead and motivate teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence senior business leaders
