Quality Control Inspector

As a Quality Control Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of supplier-manufactured equipment and components, contributing to their legacy of outstanding performance and innovation.



Day-to-day of the role:

  • Perform inspections (visual, dimensional, gauging, and comparison as appropriate) on newly manufactured, repaired, and modified analytical equipment and components before, during, and after qualification testing.
  • Raise Non-conformance Reports against non-conforming equipment/components and manufacturing, repair, or modification quality records.
  • Adhere to Goods Inwards Quality Procedures to ensure compliance and maintain standards.
  • Ensure that inspection measuring equipment is kept safe, clean, fit for purpose, and within current calibration.
  • Conduct inspection surveys on returned operational equipment, both company and customer-owned.
  • Execute Quality Control checks to Operations Support processes at key stages, such as prior to final shipment and job card completion.
  • Perform Non-Destructive Testing on components for certification purposes and witness pressure testing of equipment to ensure compliance with required standards.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A background in science or engineering eg. chemistry, physics, or chemical engineering would be ideal.
  • Experience in a similar Quality Control Inspector role within the manufacturing and production industry.
  • Trained and experienced Internal Quality Auditor is advantageous.
  • Proficient knowledge of workshop procedures and practices.
  • Understanding of Risk Assessment, Job Card, and Engineering Test Procedure compliance.
  • Ability to display quality control and certification techniques.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Capability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
