Electrical design engineer

I am representing my client, a leading consultancy in the data centre sector, in their search for an Electrical Design Engineer to join their team on a contract basis.

Location: London (Hybrid possible)
Rate: 45 per hour (Outside IR35)
Contract Length: 6 months+

• Extensive experience in electrical design for data centre projects
• Strong proficiency in Amtech (Trimble ProDesign) for electrical calculations
• Experience with LV & MV power distribution, UPS systems, generators, and critical infrastructure
• Ability to produce schematics, single-line diagrams, and layout drawings
• Knowledge of relevant BS 7671, IEC, and other industry standards

• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM workflows
• Understanding of earthing, lightning protection, and SCADA/BMS systems
• Strong stakeholder communication and ability to work autonomously
