Full time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 3:30

All Education and Training provided - Working with children 7- 11 years old with a Nursery to Ks1 level of cognitive ability. If you have a caring nature and want to be part of a vibrant, empathetic team and school, this role could really appeal to you.

We are looking for a graduate or non-graduate with good instincts for Nursery and early years aged children. This LSA role involves working within personal care with students who are incredibly lively, all from different backgrounds and cultures. An interest in Occupational therapy or Physiotherapy is an advantage but not essential.

This LSA/Nursery Teaching Assistant role will in a specialist Autistic school for children 2-11, the school caters for a range of Autism, Complex Social Needs and academic ability. This role is situated with children who's Autism leads to severe Learning challenges, some will also have physical disabilities.

Can you make the student's life just that little bit better today, keep them safe and demonstrate the value of an education to the students? In addition, can you keep the children safe? You will get a great deal of SEN and safeguarding training, MAPA Training included.

Physical work combined with being pragmatic, making as much academic progress as each child's context allows

Number of Therapies introduced and holistic processes, a little progress is a cause for success here

Pathological Demand Avoidance and Pervasive developmental disorder

A Real focus on Early Years and Non-Verbal students, holistic techniques to gain engagement

Positive engagement, giving the children a sense of acceptance, talking therapy will not always work here so different approaches required

It is vital you are sincere about your objectives and know why you want to work in the SEN and mental health sector and provide the best possible foundations for vulnerable students who have suffered several traumas and have been tragically let down by the adult world. These roles are not easy and it takes months, years to build foundations with vulnerable students and young learners.
