Finance Assistant job in Lanarkshire Your new company Our client is recruiting for a Trainee Finance Assistant to join them on a 12-month fixed-term contract basis initially. There is the potential for a permanent role moving forward for the right candidate. The hours of work are Monday-Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm. The organisation is based in Lanarkshire. The role is originally based in office full-time. However, moving forward, there will be the opportunity to work from home too. Due to the location of the offices, it is highly advisable that applicants have access to their own transport. Your new role Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will undertake a range of responsibilities. Your duties will include, but will not be limited to; processing purchase invoices, matching, batching and coding, PO management, issuing sales invoices, handling queries and all associated finance administration. What you'll need to succeed Full training will be provided on these finance tasks, but applicants must have good working knowledge of Excel. Experience of invoicing is highly advantageous. You will have clear communication skills both in person and on the telephone as you will liaise with clients, suppliers and colleagues on a daily basis, face to face, via telephone and via email. You will be a team player with good organisational skills who can work to their own initiative.
