Position Overview:
The Garden Furniture Buyer will be responsible for sourcing, selecting, and purchasing garden furniture and related products that meet our quality standards and align with current market trends. This role involves developing strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that our product offerings are competitive and appealing to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and new product opportunities in the garden furniture sector.
- Product Sourcing: Identify and source high-quality garden furniture from local and international suppliers.
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and ensuring reliable supply chains.
- Product Selection: Evaluate and select products that meet quality, design, and price criteria. Work closely with the design and merchandising teams to ensure product alignment with our brand.
- Price Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms with suppliers to achieve the best possible deals for the company.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery and stock replenishment.
- Quality Assurance: Work with the quality control team to ensure that all products meet our rigorous quality standards.
- Sales Analysis: Analyze sales data and customer feedback to make informed decisions about future product purchases.
- Budget Management: Manage the garden furniture procurement budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing, sales, and customer service teams to develop promotional strategies and address any product-related issues.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a buying or procurement role, preferably in the furniture or home goods industry.
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in market research and trend analysis.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
