Your new company This is a globally renowned financial institution with an office based in the City of London. Your new role You will take a leading role in developing and operating advanced network observability and telemetry solutions for high-performance financial systems. A key focus will be driving automation-led troubleshooting and analytics, turning network data into actionable insight that improves stability and reduces recovery time. Alongside this, you'll provide senior technical leadership, supporting incident response, engineering standards, and long-term resilience initiatives. What you'll need to succeed Deep expertise in network observability and telemetry, including large-scale SNMP, NetFlow/IPFIX, syslog, and streaming/model-driven telemetry. Strong experience designing and running enterprise observability platforms, using tools such as SevOne, ThousandEyes, Grafana, Datadog, NetBrain, and Cisco ACI/NDO. Proven ability to drive network automation and diagnostics, leveraging Python, REST APIs, Ansible, executable runbooks, and intent-based approaches. Hands-on experience with high-volume analytics and time-series data, including ClickHouse or similar platforms for performance analysis and anomaly detection. Deep understanding of low-latency, highly available network architectures, ideally within financial services or trading environments. Comfortable acting as a senior technical lead, supporting incident response, resilience initiatives, governance, and mentoring other engineers.
