Our client are a SaaS company, empowering retailers and brands to drive fast growth and revolutionise their customer experience through highly effective and fully customisable mobile native apps.

They are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join the team on a permanent basis. This role can be hybrid (3 days p/w in London) or Fully remote. As a member of their team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of retail by enabling brands to provide a superior shopping and engagement experience - anytime, anywhere.

They collaborate with retailers to build ystronger brands, increase product sales, foster customer loyalty and deliver highly relevant content, communications and rewards.

About the role - Senior .NET Backend Developer
You will have a deep understanding of the entire Backend architecture and you will be able to clearly articulate the scaling and reliability limits of the architecture. You will be technically minded, being able to jump into a complex problem, break it down and identify potential solutions.

You will understand and practice agile software development and management.

What you'll be doing;

End-to-end technical responsibility for project delivery: Estimating the work, producing technical solution designs, development, releasing and supporting the solution in production.
Being the go to person and an expert problem-solver
Anticipating broad technical changes and ensuring the platform is always ahead of the curve
Helping Back End team establishing standards and best practices
Quickly breaking down complex problems into potential solutions, knowns, and unknowns, in order to get to solid resolutions faster
Debugging the hairiest problems that the team encounters and providing both short term and long term solutions.
Ensuring the solutions are observable, secure and within standards and industry best practices
Is focused on business goals and able to discern where to spend developer effort
Always looking to develop and improve their teams, the organisation and themselves in the Backend space.
Owning the Back End domain for solutions within own team, advising other developers
Contributing to conversations internally about the direction of major areas of Backend technology, driving wide-team consensus to the adoption of this direction, and using this direction to inspire engineers
Considers long-term impacts of decisions on their platform & product

What theyre looking for

Excellent communication skills.
Ability to clearly articulate technical problems to non-technical people like project managers and client stakeholders
At least 5 years of development experience with C#. NET
Strong knowledge of working with Rest APIs using ASP.NET Web API
Strong experience with Test Driven Development
Love of writing clean, maintainable, easy-to-test code 
Experience with release management and observing APIs in production environments
Experience developing E-commerce solutions is good to have
