Senior Quantity Surveyor, Macclesfield, Competitive Salary

Dalkia Engineering are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Macclesfield.

The post holder will be responsible for managing all costs relating to building engineering projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures, to minimise costs and enhance value for money, while ensuring the required standards and quality are maintained. An awareness of the commercial market with the ability to demonstrate successful relationship building between company, clients and subcontractors in engineering construction industry will be required.

National travel will be required, and the role will be based on site in Macclesfield.

Key Accountabilities

Support the operational team in the commercial processes to ensure achievement of turnover and profit
targets, profitable contracts and sound cash flow performance
Manage risk to improve cost predictability
Ensure all work at every stage of a project is completed on time, within budget and to the correct
standard
Maximise project margin and add value to the construction process by proactive involvement in
procurement, cost management and reporting.
Drive best value from suppliers and subcontractors
Drive Commercial Process within the team

Key Skills

Educated to HND or Degree level in quantity or building surveying or a construction-related subject
Demonstrable commercial experience.
Experience in administering industry standard forms of contract in particular the NEC suite of contracts.
Mechanical & Electrical quantity surveying experience in a building services background.
Commercially astute, numerate, risk averse & able to accurately forecast cost & sales.
Multi-tasking, self-motivated, energetic team player with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
IT Literacy and ability to use Microsoft Office
System experience - CPA, Coins or similar
Ability to demonstrate successful relationship building between company, clients, and subcontractors in
engineering construction industry.
Sound understanding of the implications of Health and Safety regulations
Experience in projects relating to the design and construction of cleanrooms/controlled environments and other such works within the pharmaceutical and/or other sectors (Desirable)
