Senior Network Consultant

Senior Network Consultant (Cloud) required by my leading and progressive client.

Within this role, you'll be an integral part of a busy consulting team within an industry renown company. You will be providing network services working on projects for Enterprise and SME clients across On-Premise and various UK data centers. As a subject matter expert in networking and network security, you'll contribute to designing and developing networking topology for both our infrastructure and client systems.

This senior position involves mentoring and developing other team members while serving as a crucial escalation point for complex service desk issues. While primarily based on the South Coast, you must have your own car for travel to data centers and client sites.

Essential Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years in Network Engineering/Consulting roles
• Provide excellent customer support through an organized ticket management system
• Demonstrable knowledge of networks, including network security, VPN, converged networks, and broadband technologies
• Ability to be an escalation point for 1st and 2nd Line teams
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN/Voice network infrastructures
• Undertake network equipment installations and configurations for complex or high-impact solutions
• Respond effectively to customer requests and inquiries
• Work to agreed time scales and understand the need for escalation
• Engage in individual self-study to achieve and maintain industry standards accreditations
• Significant experience in configuring network systems, including switching, routing, Firewalling, load balancing, and voice
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft domain infrastructure (Exchange, group policy, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, etc. 2016 - 2022)
• Office 365 Cloud (Email, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive ) experience
• Conduct technical refresh of network hardware and cabling
