As a Police Constable for Essex Police, you'll have the opportunity to make a positive difference to our diverse communities. The most important part of your job will be to protect life, but you'll also build relationships with local communities, prevent, and detect crime, support victims and witnesses and keep people safe. Through our support and dedicated police training college, we'll prepare you for it all.

Join us now as an Essex Police officer and you'll receive a starting salary of £28,812 to £29,682 (this includes £3,000 South East allowance) with the potential to rise to £43,630 or more within your first 7 years, along with a number of other benefits.

As a full-time police constable, you will have 22 days paid annual holiday, rising to 30 days a year depending on your length of service. This is on top of public holidays and an average of two rest days each week.
