We are a small company with a strong order book and are looking for someone who shares our vision and has enthusiasm for growing and developing an exciting business. This role can be partially remote with at least one day per week to be spent in either our Bristol or Southampton office and occasional visits to client sites.
A successful applicant will join our growing development team working alongside data scientists, front end designers, software developers and engineers to deliver innovative data driven solutions across industry. The applicant will play a key part in the development of a condition monitoring and machine learning platform for the offshore wind industry.
The Role
- Work alongside the Data Science and Software Development team to build web-based SaaS products
- Design and deliver functional user experiences drawing on UX best practices
- Integrate data into bespoke user interfaces using creative and informative visualisation techniques
- Create customised UI elements tailored to user requirements
- Refine Ada Mode s software development processes, applying software development and agile best practices
- Support Ada Mode s front-end tech stack and interaction with backend services and cloud platforms
- Maintenance and continuous improvement of Ada Mode products from a front-end perspective
- Creation of quality mock-ups and prototypes to facilitate regular bids and marketing activities
Experience and Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience of data driven product development within any industry compatible across multiple devices
- Strong HTML, CSS and JS
- Experience with Vue (our preferred framework), React or similar
- Experience working with REST APIs and/or data driven applications
- Experience with version control (using Git)
- Ability to translate a design or concept into code
- Awareness of accessibility and adherence to WCAG guidelines
- An interest in learning more on backend development
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Vuex, Redux or similar state management library
- Experience writing unit tests
- Experience with data visualisation libraries (e.g. D3.js)
- Interest in web performance and user-centred design
- Experience of server-side programming (e.g. node)
- Experience of AWS Lambda
- Any experience of python-based applications
